Q: Is Vacation Promotions a licensed seller of travel?
A: Vacation Promotions is not the seller of travel for your Vacation Getaways. All Vacation Getaways are offered and fulfilled by licensed and bonded Sellers of Travel, which include accommodations at nationally known brands, such as Sheraton and DoubleTree by Hilton, for example. All Vacation Getaways are properly registered in their states of origin, guaranteeing that you get exactly what you see whenever you book a reservation with us!

Q: Is there a contract or some hidden costs that will sneak up on me?

A: No, your 30 day free trial membership costs you absolutely nothing. If you enjoy the benefits of the club, then do nothing and we'll bill your card the low monthly membership fee of $9.95. If at any time you decide that you don't want to be a member any longer, then simply cancel your memberhsip and owe nothing further. Q: I cancelled my membership, do I get to keep my Loyalty Bonus Restaurant.com Gift Cards?

A: Yes, your Loyalty Bonuses are yours to keep and use at your convenience. They never expire, so take your time and find that perfect dining experience! It's best for you to save your Restaurant.com Gift Card codes in a safe place so that you can continue to access those benefits after you have cancelled your Vacation Promotions account. If you do happen to lose them, simply send us a message through the contact form, and we will send the codes to the email address on file for your account.

Q: I booked my Getaway and received my confirmation, but then I cancelled my membership in the club. Can I still go on my Getaway?

A: Absolutely! Just remember to print your confirmation receipt and itinerary with the Customer Service contact information on it. You will be required to present this information along with your valid photo ID when checking in at the resort.

Q: I booked my Getaway and received my confirmation, but want to give the trip to a friend as a gift, can someone else travel on my Getaway?

A: No. Getaways are not transferrable, and must be booked and confirmed in the name of the traveler. If you really want to give one of our Getaways to a friend, the easiest way is to probably pay for a membership for them, and let them book the Getaway at their convenience from their own Vacation Promotions account.

Q: I just cancelled my membership, but I have already been billed for this month. Can I get a refund for the current month?

A: No. Monthly membership fees are non-refundable. However, you can continue to enjoy and use all of your Member benefits for the rest of the month in which you cancel, as well as use your Loyalty Bonus Dining Gift Card.

Q: What can I do on Vacation Promotions if I'm not a member?

A: If you're not a member, you can still purchase our exclusive Promotional Offers, which will entitle you to a free 30 day trial in the club, with full Member privileges, including access to all of our exclusive Getaways AND your first $25 Loyalty Bonus Restaurant.com Gift Card.


Q: Do I get a Vacation Promotions membership card when I join?

A: No. Vacation Promotions can keep it's membership fees low by focusing on delivering high quality online services. We don't want our members to have to pay for printing and shipping of cards and other collateral material. Plus you never have to look for that lost membership card!


Q: Can I change my membership number?

A: You cannot edit or change your membership number, but you can change your username. If you have questions regarding your account, please contact the Membership Department by using the contact form on the website. Q: What should I use for my Password?

A: Select a password that will be easy for you to remember, but hard for others to guess. Your password must contain 5-10 characters. The password may be any combination of letters, numbers, or hyphens, but must contain at least one letter. It cannot contain any other special characters. Your password is not case sensitive.


Q: What if I have forgotten my password?

A: On the "Login" page, select the "Request new password" link and submit your membership details. A new password will be e-mailed to the address on your profile.

Q: How do I change my password?

A: Once you are successfully signed in, you can change your password at any time. Select the "My Account" link at the left side of the "Home" page. The "Edit" tab displays your current profile information. Enter a new password in the required password fields. When you have finished updating your profile information, select the "Save" button. Your new password will be saved in your profile.

Q: How do I renew my membership?
A: Your membership is set to auto-renew when you sign up for Vacation Promotions. So, you don’t have to worry about losing even one day of your travel benefits or Loyalty Bonus Dining Benefits.
Q: How do I make changes to my Vacation Promotions account profile?
A: Login and go to My Account (link on left side of page), click the Edit button, then click the Personal Information tab. Make your changes, and click the Save button at the bottom of the page.

Q: How do I print a receipt for my vacation?
A: You will be sent an e-mail confirming your vacation purchase from Vacation Promotions that you can print.

Q: I already booked a Getaway for my selected dates, can I change my date of arrival now?

A: It depends. All of our Getaways have limited space availability (the hotels don't have infinite rooms after all). The best thing to do at this point is to contact the Customer Service number provided on your Getaway Confirmation receipt and see if they can help you move your date. Usually, as long as there is availability they are happy to do this for you. There may be a nominal surcharge for this service, depending on how close you are to your booked arrival date.

Q: I booked a Getaway but now I can't go. Can I get a refund?

A: No. Your $9.95 reservation fee is non-refundable. We require this to process your reservation and to hold your accommodations in your selected destination. Please make sure you intend to use your Getaway for the dates you book it! If circumstances beyond your control prevent you from using your Getaway, then please contact our Customer Service using the contact form on our website, and we will be happy to issue you a credit towards another Getaway.

Q: Why do all the Getaways require a minimum 30 days advance notice?

A: Getaways are on a first come, first served, space available basis. We have to be able to plan for how many of our members are going to travel in advance, allowing us to make the best use of our negotiated contracts with the hoteliers and resorts who provide your accommodations.

Q: Why do all the Getaways require a sales presentation?

A: Getaways are sponsored by luxury resorts at your destination who would like to meet you and tell you more about the value of staying at their resort. They know that their resorts aren't for everyone, however about 1 person in 7 will become part of their resort owner family. The sponsoring resort is happy to offer exclusive travel packages to all Five Star Travel Club members just so they can find that one person out of seven who will become part of their resort owner family. Simple as that!

Q: How do I cancel my Vacation Promotions membership?
A: You may cancel your membership in Vacation Promotions at any time by calling Vacation Promotions Customer Service at (866)618-6715, or you can cancel online using the Contact Us form.
Traveling with Vacation Promotions

Q: What travel documents do I need?
A: For most vacations, you'll need some form of photo identification (such as a valid driver's license) - especially for airline travel. You should also bring:
* The printout of your Getaway confirmation receipt or email, and your full travel itinerary, with your flight information, hotel address, and phone numbers. You must bring your printed trip confirmation and valid photo ID for check-in when staying at a Vacation Promotions affiliated resort or risk being charged full rate for your accommodations and associated attractions. Your Getaway confirmation receipt will have Customer Service contact details for your convenience, in case you have any questions or difficulties arise.
* Any tickets for attractions and events
* A passport if you are traveling outside the country, or on a cruise
* Your birth certificate (with valid photo I.D.), if you are on a cruise and do not have a passport
Note: Before you book international travel, be sure to contact the local consulate or embassy to ensure that you have the latest information regarding passport, visa, and tourist card requirements.

Q: What additional travel information do I need to know before I travel?
A: Details of Participation. Every Getaway from Vacation Promotions has specific Details of Participation that you must read and agree to prior to booking your Getaway. Please insure that you meet any special requirements for your selected Getatway prior to booking, and definitely before traveling, otherwise you could end up being responsible for the full retail cost of your Getaway. Please review your confirmation email or any documents you receive from Vacation Promotions and our sponsoring resorts immediately upon receipt. In order to prevent any inconvenience or additional expense, please report any discrepancies within 24 hours by calling [refer to your confirmation email for the appropriate Customer Service contact number, or visit the Contact Us page on our website]. Please remember that our ability to revise your travel arrangements is dependent upon travel provider restrictions and limited space availability of the travel provider.
IDENTIFICATION/DOCUMENTATION
1. Proof of identity is required for all Getaway travel. You must have a valid photo ID on checking in, or you may be charged full retail rate for the accommodations and any added vacation benefits.

2. For international travel, it is the customer's responsibility to obtain any required immigration documents. Without proper identification, including passport and necessary visas (if applicable), you will not be permitted to depart. It is your responsibility to verify your necessary travel documents based upon your citizenship and destination countries. Please contact the local consulate/embassy for the country(ies) you will be visiting for the latest information regarding passport, visa, and tourist card requirements.
3. Children under 18 years of age traveling with one parent or without a parent may require a notarized document signed by the absent parent or parents authorizing the child to travel abroad.

RESPONSIBILITY
Vacation Promotions is acting solely as intermediary for the travel providers identified on the attached or accompanying documents in selling services, or in accepting reservations or bookings for services that are not directly supplied by Vacation Promotions. Vacation Promotions, therefore, is NOT ACTING AS A SELLER OF TRAVEL IN ANY TRANSACTION, and shall not be responsible for breach of contract or any intentional or careless actions or omissions on the part of such travel providers, which result in any loss, damage, delay or injury to you or your travel companions or group members. Traveler assumes complete and full responsibility for, and hereby releases FiveStarsTravelClub.com, and it's affiliated travel providers and its directors, officers, employees and agents from any duty of checking and verifying any and all passport, visa, vaccination, or other entry requirements of each destination, and all safety or security conditions at such destinations, during the length of the proposed travel. By embarking upon his/her travel, the traveler voluntarily assumes all risks involved with such travel, whether expected or unexpected. Q: I received a credit card bill for my vacation reservation, but the company I was charged by is not Vacation Promotions. Is this correct?
A: No. Your reservation fee will always appear on your credit card statement as from Vacation Promotions. (may appear as FIVESTARSTRAVELCLUB.COM)
HOWEVER, if you purchased additional accommodation nights, or a condominium upgrade to your Getaway, or other travel benefits like a rental car, this would not be billed from Vacation Promotions, but usually under the name of the travel provider, which is owned or contracted by the sponsoring resort.

Q: What is the difference between condo resorts and resort hotels? Which one should I book?
A: Good questions. The answer really depends on what kind of accommodation is right for you and what's available at your vacation destination. Condo resorts offer great vacation amenities: Kitchens allow you to save on food, laundry facilities reduce the amount of clothes you need to pack, and condo resorts rooms often have enough space for big families - often up to eight people - at a great value.
Resort hotels offer features such as housekeeping and fitness facilities. There may be room service and complimentary services, such as breakfast or a morning paper. Many resort hotels are also Internet-capable, some with wireless networking, too.

Please remember, taxes and fees associated with room rates are not included in the purchase price unless specified in the accommodation details.
Q: I love to go to theme parks and museums with my kids. How can I find out about activities like that or other attractions and tours when I'm on vacation?

Q: Can I purchase travel insurance in case I need to cancel my trip or it gets interrupted?

A: Yes, but not directly from Vacation Promotions at this time. Please investigate purchasing trip insurance from a trusted travel agent in your area or online.

Q: If I book a resort accommodation, where do I pick up the keys?

A: Normally, you can pick up your keys at the main office or front desk, but all resorts have different policies. You can find out more by contacting the Customer Service number provided on your Getaway confirmation receipt.

Q: Is parking included at resort accommodations?
A: Parking is usually free to guests, but all resorts have different policies. You can find out more by contacting the Customer Service number provided on your Getaway confirmation receipt.

Q: Can I bring my dog on vacation with me?
A: Not many resorts or hotels allow pets. You can see which hotels are pet-friendly by contacting the Customer Service number provided on your Getaway confirmation receipt.

Q: What happens if I accidentally break something?
A: Be sure to bring any room damage to the attention of resort management immediately. Most resorts ask for your credit card at check-in as a security deposit in case there is any room damage. That way, your credit card can be charged automatically.

Q: What are E-tickets?
A: Electronic tickets, otherwise known as E-tickets, reduce the chance of lost or stolen tickets when you are on vacation. After you purchase your vacation at Vacation Promotions, an E-ticket will be generated and stored in the database of the airline, accommodations, or car rental company that you are using.
* Hotel: You will need to present the credit card you made your purchase with to confirm your E-ticket and room reservation. Many hotels require a picture I.D. as well.
* Resort: Please arrive at the resort with a printed copy of your vacation confirmation, or at least the confirmation number: Some resorts may not be able to find your reservation with just your picture I.D. and credit card. Your picture I.D. and credit card will be required for check in. You may also need to fill out a small form asking for your address, phone number and signature.
* Theme Park, Attraction, or Event Tickets: Both Universal and Disney require you to bring your ticket confirmation/reference number and the credit card used for the purchase in order to pick up the tickets. Without a confirmation number you will not be able to use ticket vouchers and redeem them for your actual tickets.

Note: While E-tickets reduce the risk of theft and loss associated with paper tickets, Vacation Promotions strongly recommends that you print out a copy of your vacation purchase confirmation e-mail for all trip components and activities.

Q: What happens if my vacation tickets are lost or stolen?
A: If your vacation tickets have become lost or stolen, please see below:
* E-tickets for Getaways- electronic tickets - you don't need to worry. All of your travel information was stored when you booked your vacation. Contact the Customer Service number provided on your Getaway confirmation receipt, or use the Contact Us form on the Vacation Promotions website and we'll be happy to assist you.

* For theme park, attraction, or event ticket vouchers that have not been redeemed for actual tickets this should not be a problem. Just login to your Vacation Promotions account and reprint your voucher or email receipt, and present it along with your valid photo ID to the designated reception desk. For lost or stolen tickets please contact guest services for the applicable theme park, attraction or event venue and request assistance.

You may check-out at any time during your stay. You must adhere to the Details of Participation for your Getaway, however, regardless of how many nights you stay or what day your check in or check out.

Q: Can I use my Vacation Promotions benefits when I'm not on vacation?
A: Of course you can. In fact, we've even created special neighborhood benefits so you and your family can make life a vacation with Vacation Promotions everyday!
